River Rheidol forms the harbour at Aberystwyth that is joined by the river Ystwyth a few metres before reaching the Irish Sea.

Between the harbour and Constitution Hill the promenade stretches for about a mile, along which are situated Castle remains the Old University College and the Royal Pier, also many hotels B&B's and private houses. (ed. and the Bandstand)
